Thursday Notes…

— Here’s my game story in today’s Trentonian.  That story has comments from both Elmira head coach Robbie Nichols and Trenton head coach Kevin Dean on the Jordon Southorn hit on Michael Dubuc.

Michael Dubuc is tended to by medical personnel after a devastating hit by Jordon Southorn

— You can see the shootout videos here, all ten rounds.  If I have some time later, I’ll embed them all on here later.  But you can see all ten rounds there.

— Trevor Kell (upper body) and Ben Farrer (lower body) did not return after their respective injuries last night.  According to Dean, Farrer most likely will not join the team on their road trip to Kalamazoo and Toledo, but Kell may be closer to a return.

—  Matt Germain got a lot of ice time last night, and certainly seemed to be deserving of it.  He was an offensive force, tallying an assist on his very first professional shift and not at all looking out of place out there.  He was quick, aggressive and showed off not only a willingness to shoot, but a nice shot when he did.

“He’s solid, he’s smart,” Dean said.  “Good position, he makes a good pass.  He made a nice play on that goal and he’s got a nice shot.”
