Bros Before Prose

I will have post-game notes. Really, I will. But I had to leave right after I got back home to help out a friend…trust me, you’re not missing too much anyway. You all know what happened by now.

You aren’t missing anything Mike. They started today where they left off yesterday. Same officials too, who now seem to be intent on making it difficult (but we are making it easy for them to do so)

  2. trentondevilsfan Says:

Glad I’m watching the Pack getting ready to head to Dallas (Todd Collins in at QB as Cutler’s hurt).

Give Grant Marshall directions to Trenton, would love to see him at our actual home arena.

    How’s the crowd out there?

  3. Langhorne Devil Says:

Well it’s safe to say it’s not a packed house.

I have a whole new appreciation for the magnitude of suck sitting behind the bench and seeing absolutely nothing going on. They have quit.

Same referee as LD said but my opinion is they have whined themselves into a position where he’s going to hand it to them every chance he gets.

  5. trentondevilsfan Says:

Bears showing life, further encouraging me I made the right call.

  6. Langhorne Devil Says:

Yep, they aren’t helping themselves at all. It certainly is interesting sitting behind the benches for a change.

  7. trentondevilsfan Says:

Holy spit, I check the score and it’s 3-2! Vichorek?!?!

  8. chiarams Says:

Announced crowd near 2600 – about 3x what I expected.

Maybe it’s time to register and

  9. titans04 Says:

We can wait to register it until a few weeks/months after they announce the move.

Just more of the same again today, a total of 20 mins of ok hockey. Don’t let the score fool you this one was over at the 4 minute mark. I would say that number is at least in the ballpark unlike what they announce at home.

I asked Marshall about Trenton he said he never heard of it, go figure.

  10. trentondevilsfan Says:

Seriously he never heard of the Trenton Devils before this?

  11. titans04 Says:

Another couple feet on that one drive and Rex goes to the SB. How ironic.

  12. Bradley Says:

Could not get down to AC afterall, I saw we lost 4-3, which is a bummer.
Why do we not have Caruso and a few other players back yet if they do not play in Albany?

Most NHL players would not know of Trenton, NJ, unless they play in NJ or Philly. But I’ll bet Grant was joking or said he never heard of Trenton until his recent job in the Devils alumni group.

I would have never stepped foot in Trenton if the Devils did not run the team.

  13. Langhorne Devil Says:

It looks like the anger posting of Saturday, we have all hit apathy after today!

  14. titans04 Says:

Apathy is a perfect word to describe what I saw up and down the bench from the drop of the puck. Sad.

There’s no roster limit in the AHL so often times it’s the more the merrier when it comes to having extra bodies. But I don’t know if they have any healthy ones at this point. Frazee according to LL ( the fountain of misinformation when it comes to injuries) was still being evaluated as of Saturday over two weeks after being injured in practice so Caruso is riding pine up there. They’ve been getting lit up almost on a regular basis especially this past week being outscored someting like 18-5 in there last 3 games. I think he may have played in a mop up role in one and got abused too lazy to look it up.

I think you make a good point though we don’t have a goalie and that’s a real problem.

We have one win in the last 10 games and 4 of the last 20 points on the table.

  15. chiarams Says:

Pretty sure Albany played a man short on Saturday, so I don’t think they have any bodies at this point.

4 of the last 20 points? Yikes.

  16. titans04 Says:

Maybe there’s a picture of a Devils sweater with the name plate Apathy on it, that would make a cool avatar.

  17. Shtikl Says:

They weren’t all bad, my spy said they showed some life the first half of the 3rd period, but oh, that penalty Leaderer took coming out of the penalty box… Stoesz did OK for himself but the fight sparked a whole lot of nothing. The ref looked like a Pee Wee, how hold is he? Also WHY do they do the “Let’s go, Devils” chant after every opponent goal? Why not play some fight music? I hear the goalie for the Brick squirts team looked pretty good, CL should sign him up.

BTW, Jeff Frazee’s going to have knee surgery, so don’t look for Davey to come back to Trenton soon.
