Game 35: Post-Game Notes

I’m on my way home…trust me, you do not want to miss the post-game update. Was a very memorable locker room trip. I’m proud of that team tonight, by the way…I’ll elaborate on that later, but to come back four times…they didn’t give up. Oh…and I didn’t see Charleston fire the puck into the stands, I was working on my story. Can someone fill me in?

Right at the end of regulation he had the puck out from behind the net and with a few more seconds on the clock would have had an opportunity for a great shot. He didn’t though, time ran out and he whaled the puck down the ice, think into 104 or maybe 103.. Someone must’ve been hit, there was a lot of action there, saw Ed Levine there as well – and he wasn’t at the sales table after the game which was very unusual. You could see people in the section pointing to where Charleston had been and pantomiming the shot.

On our way out I heard people talking about this – but not about the game itself. A real damn shame. I have no idea what he was thinking. Next time just slam the stick on the ice Dan. It’s a lot safer.

As the horn went at the end of Regulation. He absolutely hammered the puck from about the blue line at our end of the ice. it flew across the ice to the far end but below you. From what i have just been told, it hit a woman in the back.

    silly silly thing to do.

that was embarrassing. i would hope he gets suspended, if not by league, definitely the team. 4 goals means nothing after that display of poor sportsmanship. GROW UP.

  4. Langhorne Devil Says:

sorry tdf, i was typimg at the same time..

  5. trentondevilsfan Says:

    No prob LD

“4 goals means nothing after that display of poor sportsmanship.”

Completely agree. Like I said – next time slam your stick on the ice.

yeah 4600 people there. more than half probably for the first time this season. The one thing they are going to take home is not the great game, but that moment of stupidity.

So will they come back. Me thinks next saturday it will be back to being just us guys

He ripped it too like TDF said, laser right into the crowd. Finally get a decent crowd an entertaining game and what a lot of people will walk away with is wtf was he thinking. Terrible.

The Shooter Tutor easily walks away with the win tonight if we had hung in goal after warmups.

I thought this was the kind of game that if they would have come all the way back and won it mayhave helped turn the tide going forward. Coming back every time after another beachball got by Connelley. Sticking up for each other and dropping the gloves etc. But in the end 6 goals wasn’t enough with the sieve we’re forced to play at this point.

Maybe he was pi$$ed at getting only 2 hats…

Have to agree on the stupidity part- I was at the opposite end of the arena but some of the Cub scout parents were clearly upset about it.

  10. trentondevilsfan Says:

Was looking foward to a shootout with those two gems in net. Ha.

IIRC Toledo hasn’t even been averaging three goals a game.

I believe it was 2.79 coming into tonight.

  12. Devil Dawg Says:

Come on Mike are you home yet? I am desperate to hear what Kevin Dean has to say about tonight… 🙂

  13. Steve Says:

Can you get my friend’s Mets hat back from the hat trick?

  14. Devil Dawg Says:

Why would you want that back? Lol
Better than the Yankees though …

  15. Ashmore Says:

Well that’s certainly a new request. Nice of one other fan to join your buddy on the hat trick festivities. But no, you throw it and it’s gone for good.

  16. Steve Says:

What do they do with it?

  17. tdevils Says:

Also a good question. Not sure if the display is still up on the concourse, but they used to take hats and display them in a glass case that honored the hat tricks. Now? Not sure. I’ll try to find out.
