Devils Lose Game; Wilson Claimed By Chiefs

I’ll make this real quick…

Trenton lost to Charlotte, 4-3, in North Carolina tonight.  They never had the lead.  Jack Combs, Chris Poli and Dan Eves had the goals for the T-Devils.  Poli and Dan Charleston both had two point nights.

Dave Caruso made 28 saves in the loss.

With Reading’s win, Trenton is now four points behind the Royals for the eighth and final playoff spot with eight games remaining.

Additionally, the Johnstown Chiefs have claimed Brett Wilson.  Finding a player like Wilson on waivers must be like hitting the lottery for the Chiefs…he instantly becomes one of their best players.  I’ll be very, very curious to see how things go for him when Johnstown comes to town on the 24th…

    Good luck, Brett Wilson!

Delete Brett Wilson, F suspended by team, 3/19

Guess he has no desire to play for perhaps the only team that may finish below us in the conf. Can’t blame him.

Brett seemed to care more so than anybody else on that team. Why they ever cut him is a mystery. He deserves better than playing in a lame duck in Johnstown.

  4. Shtikl Says:

That doesn’t sound good, a self-inflicted injury on top of being screwed by the Devils front office. I was hoping he’d come back and get a hat trick against the team that let him go. So is he a free agent at the end of the season?

  5. titans04 Says:

Nope Johnstown/Greenville can “protect” his rights should they choose to do so. I too was hoping he would be on the ice Wednesday.
