Pre-Game Notes

It’s John Murray vs. Gerald Coleman tonight.  Shocker.  Both Carter Lee and Dan Charleston were out there in warm-ups.  Didn’t notice Chris Poli out there.

UPDATE: No Poli, no Kyle Kucharski either.  Will have plenty to ask after the game, it seems…

How is it that they prefer to ice a couple guys with little to no talent knowing full well they’re going to get pushed around game in and game out. The “system” may be producing wins in Newark and Lowell but the only thing it’s providing here is loses and bad hockey. Can we at least have some pride and dress a guy that might take a stand on a regular basis. He’ll let’s start with once.

But according to our pro pa dude they’re auctioning that Martin Cohen jersey, so we’ve that to look forward to.

Wonder if Murray comes out for the third…

Nice call 04. Apparently Charleston has a little game. Didnt notice Lee much though. Sloppy game but nice to have a laugher before the Florida trip.

Cool what’s that win # 5 over the only team worse than we are, very impressive. They play that same game against any other team on the schedule and they probably lose. 17 does bring some offense which is desperately need, 33 a perfect example of the roster filler.

However if you’re happy with what you paid for and are seeing this year that’s great. Be thankful Smith didn’t have the balls or brains to pull Murray he was flat out terrible.

This group will be even more painful to watch if Poli is out again for any length of time.

We’ve not gotten 2 points in 14 of 42 games played, 5 of the 14 wins have been against the Chiefs.

Yes it was nice to win.

Kowalsky finally woke up. The officiating in last night’s contest matches what Kerwin the hot dog guy said to me years ago….”minor league hockey….minor league refs”. It was an embarrassing night for the zebra crew with bad calls, missed calls and mistakes running rampant….and Rick actually said something to them.

It was good to see how that motivated the team. Maybe it was an experiment? Of course, the opponents were just horrible. Maybe that has more to do with the outcome.

Well, it helped. Still, good to put up six and not let them back in after the early 3rd period goal. Surprised to see Murray in the third. Good luck to them in Florida.
