Dyment Injured In Devils 2-1 Loss

Chris Dyment’s captaincy did not get off to a good start tonight, as he suffered the dreaded “lower body injury” on a play behind the net during the second period.

“He got twisted up.  It’s a lower body injury right now, that’s all we’ve got,” said head coach Rick Kowalsky.

“He came back and tried it.  (It’s) no good right now.”

It appeared to be either a knee or ankle injury, and when asked if Dyment would be able to return to the lineup for tomorrow’s contest against Reading, Kowalsky said he wasn’t sure and that he hadn’t spoken to the team doctors at that time.

If Dyment is unable to play, it would appear Jay Bletzer will make his professional debut.
