T-Devils Add Three

Goaltender Anthony Felice has signed a tryout agreement.  He was used as an emergency backup last season — and considering that you’ll likely see some combination of Dave Caruso, Jason Smith and Jeff Frazee between the pipes in Trenton this year — it’s likely he’ll fill a similar role this year as well.

In addition, the club has agreed to contracts with forward Jeremy Akeson and defenseman Dylan Quaile.

Akeson is a 23-year-old who has spent the last three seasons with St. Francis Xavier University after four years playing juniors in the OHL with the Ottawa 67’s.  At six feet, two inches tall and 220 pounds, he’ll bring much-needed size to a relatively small group of forwards.

Quaile is just 19 years old and has spent his past three seasons playing for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and PEI Rocket of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).  After scoring only two points in his 44-game rookie campaign, he’s scored 19 goals and added 39 assists in 127 games over the past two years.  Depending on how quickly he’s able to make the adjustment to the pro game, the Toronto native could be one of the more interesting stories on the team this year.
