I’ll do a little writing about that one tomorrow…but that was one hell of a fun game to cover. If nothing else, and I’ll expand on this tomorrow, it was a glimpse into what it must have been like to go to games there a few years ago…and it also showed that if the team spends just a little bit of money on a giveaway and group sales can get the job done with something like Scout Night, that fans are willing to spend some money back and give the Trenton Devils a nice crowd.
Six games ago, did anyone think this team could be a legitimate playoff contender? Now, they look like they could do some damage when they get there, too. Yes, when they get there…
That was a fun locker room to be in tonight, and here’s audio from everyone you want to hear from…
The stuff with Rick is especially good, as he always is…lots of injury updates in there as well, and with this team, there’s plenty.
And, for the record, the hard-working staff here (all one of us) at the Inside the Trenton Devils blog is a friend to all referees and linesmen, not foe. Zebras are your friends, kids.
Stay tuned for more tomorrow, and be sure to support The Trentonian and pick up a Sundaypaper for the game story…

I never bag on refs, it’s pointless. However the one league who’s refs leave A LOT left o be disired. Okay I realzie there is one ref on the ice but to not see Cruthers the Cowardly Forward #14, blatantly trip Caruso withoute 5 left to play was just not doing your job. It’s a rvial, it’s a blowout and some more things are going to happen, especially in back of the play. Can someone be THAT blind or just ignorant to the situation?
It’s crazy.

You’re right about the promos. Back in the Titans’ era, it was rare that there wasn’t a nightly promo, and the list of groups always took 2 screens to get them all in. It was great to see the crowds – reminded me of years gone by, when when 5 – 6,000 was an average attendance per game. Saw Pender limping across the parking lot to his car last night – banged up in the fracas?

That was a great game, they’re really putting together a run here. Was hard to root for Elmira last night but I did. Need those ahead to lose in 2 pt games.
