Pre-Game Notes (LIVE from SBA): 4:50 PM — Not a whole lot to tell you right now…stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, here’s a look at former T-Devils defenseman Sean Zimmerman in a San Antonio Rampage uniform.
5:35 PM — Tyler Burton is a game-time decision for tonight’s game. The team may either be one short, or could dress 7 D as Justin Coutu is available.
6:05 PM — There’s a band here. Lovely. I’m sure everyone else at the arena is going to say…oh, this is great. But yeah, for me, it’s like trying to work with fireworks going off in your ears. Listening to audio = not happening, even with headphones.
6:35 PM — Curtis Darling vs. Gerald Coleman is your goalie matchup. Pictures and whatnot shortly.
6:50 PM — Eric Castonguay and Matt Torti are scratched. Tyler Burton will play, as will Justin Coutu. He’ll wear #7.
Starters are:
Coleman
Cohen-Leaderer
Akeson-Prough-Radoslovich
Darling
Ganzak-Reid
Johnson-Morrison-Cheesman

First Period: 16:00 left — Well, this game is a bit of an atrocity through four minutes. Lots of back and forth in the neutral zone, but absolutely zero offense.
12:01 left — Gerald Coleman turned the puck over on a bad pass to the left of his net…Brock Sheahan stepped into a slapper from the point and missed wide to Coleman’s right, but the puck caromed right back to the right of the crease and was easily stuffed in by Tobias Holm. Coleman made no move towards the puck as he didn’t see where the carom had gone. 1-0, Nailers.
11:07 left — John Mazzel’s in the box for Wheeling, and Trenton’s on the PP.
9:54 left — Dan Eves ties the game right back up after tipping in a pass past Darling. Video coming. 1-1.
With that assist, Jim Henkel has scored his 300th career professional point.
9:36 left — Dylan Quaile takes a penalty, and Wheeling gets the momentum right back…
8:35 left — Jeremy Akeson scores on a nice shorthanded 2-on-1 with Jeff Prough to give Trenton a 2-1 lead. Video coming.
7:09 left — Ben Geelan’s in the box for Wheeling…
6:00 left — Trenton avoids a very, very obvious too many men penalty…
2:13 left — Coleman with a nice save after a David Leaderer mistake inside the offensive zone creates a 3-on-1 against.
TRENTON LEADS 2-1 AFTER ONE PERIOD. SHOTS ARE…UMMM, YEAH NO IDEA. SCOREBOARD ISN’T WORKING.
Second Period: According to the ECHL site, Trenton is outshooting Wheeling, 12-6, heading into the second.
Jeremy Akeson leads the team with four shots, while Dan Eves and Scott Bartlett have three each.
17:27 left — Matt Cohen’s in the box for Trenton, and the Nailers go on their second man advantage.
14:50 left — Hard to believe that the Devils only have five shorthanded goals this season…seems they get better chances a man down than their opponents do with the PP.
12:24 left — Jeremy Akeson, in my opinion, is the best player on the ice tonight. He’s been involved in a lot of the offense, and is creating a ton of chances.
10:15 left — Bad, bad news here…Tyler Burton just went down in a heap in the corner clutching his left knee, and you could hear him screaming in pain from up here. Was hard to tell if it was from a slash or what…but the trainer is out and this looks bad.
UPDATE — Burton had to be helped off and couldn’t put any weight on that left leg. Will obviously try to get an update after the game, but this looks bad. What a shame too…this was his first game back.
8:53 left — Erik Johnson (Elgin Reid?) ties the game with a hard shot from just outside the left faceoff dot. It looked Coleman may have been partially screened by his own D, but he still got a big piece of it…but it just trickled through him. Looked to beat him under the glove. 2-2.
7:46 left — Aaron Clarke’s in the box for Wheeling…
TIED AT TWO AFTER TWO
Third Period: 1:45 left — After a double minor for high sticking to Wheeling, Jeff Prough turns around a fires a wrist shot in the top corner over Darling’s glove. 3-2, Devils and they’re still on the power play.
Final Score: 3-2, Devils
Three Stars:
* Prough
** Coleman
*** Eves
