Thanks to one of my readers, who passed along this 2006 story about current Trenton Devils captain Chris Dyment.
Looks like the guy has been through quite a bit…

Let us know if there’s any rumor of call-ups, eh? The N-Devils called up Bergfors and Halischuk, sidelined PLL with a broken nose, and sent Tallackson to Lowell for conditioning. Don’t know if Wiseman’s ready to go yet.

(sorry for the double post) Quite a story about Dyment! He must really love to play!

with all the injuries piling up all around we could be in real trouble if they start pulling guys up. But that’s why we’re here, but it doesn’t make being on the bottom of the totem pole any less painless
Mike any word on Cormier and the severity of his injury? I guess the same question applies to Tort and maybe even Poli.

I’m hoping to have some more info on injuries when I’m back at the arena on Thursday, if not before then. I know what Cormier and Torti look like, so I could catch up with them after the game if Kowalsky doesn’t have much to say…Poli, uhhh…I’d have to study his picture a bit.
As for call-ups…they would only need to make one with Tallackson joining Lowell, and even then Halischuk and/or Bergfors could go back down after the game with the NJ Devils not playing again until Saturday, so there may not be a need for someone from Trenton.

Chris Poli: there’s a headshot of him here.

Sorry, he’s not on jamd.com either, and the T-Devils haven’t posted their roster mugs. They have a poor subsitute:

Looks like you guys picked up an additional body in Vasyunov so with 2 going up and 2 coming down looks like we might get lucky doen here for now. Plus with Langenbrunner skating today maybe he returns in the next game or two.

Good grief, what a story. I had no idea that you could have your eye guts spill out and they could put it back together.
Yeeeesh, there’s an image. I just ate lunch too.
