The Trenton Devils have signed defenseman Jay Bletzer in a move that adds depth to the blueline after Matt Torti was placed on the 3-day IR.
Additionally, forward Tony Zanacanaro will start the season on the 7-day IR.
Bletzer, who seems unlikely to play in the season opener with the team already carrying six D-men, is entering his first professional season.
The 23-year-old played four seasons at Bentley College, scoring two goals and adding 11 assists in 89 games.
He will wear #29 for Trenton.
